Amanda Vollstedt,
Practice Manager

Amanda has been living in Sonoma since the age of 3, and recently purchased a home there where she lives with her daughter and two cats, Fry and April.  During college Amanda started working part time at a veterinary hospital in Sonoma and it was there she discovered her love of veterinary medicine and knew she wanted to continue working in the field. After 10 years of working in veterinary practices, she then worked for an animal rescue organization where she managed a program providing spay/neuter and veterinary care to local community members.  She is currently preparing to take the RVT licensing exam and is excited to be part of the Totem team!

Brenna Zapata,
Veterinary Technician

Brenna knew she wanted to work with animals since she was five years old and began her career working them as a high school senior. She was hired to work as a kennel assistant while attending New Technology High and once her internship was complete; she continued to work there for ten and a half years. She reached her goal of learning all she could on the job and became promoted to veterinary technician.   Brenna and her husband are high school sweethearts and bought their house at 19 years old together. This gave them the opportunity to fill their house with a variety of animals of both fur and scale type. November 5th 2020 they welcomed their first baby to the crew. They are both excited for the future and love to be surrounded by animals and can’t wait to share that love with our baby who is already obsessed with the cats and dogs.

Susana Calderon,

Alyssa was born and raised in Napa and began working with animals in January of 2017. She has continued to work in the field because of her love for animals. Alyssa has helped care for animals for as long as she can remember. She grew up in a home full of cats, dogs, fish, and a turtle. When she is not busy with her two toddlers, she enjoys cuddling with her cat Milo, watching true crime documentaries, and spending time with her friends and family. Alyssa is hoping to move to Sonoma County soon and is very happy to be a part of the Totem team.
